Oorah has many programs, but they all aim to help young children and their families learn more about their Jewish culture in a way that is personal and meaningful. Junior TorahMates is one such program, designed to enrich the Jewish learning experience of children aged 10 to 17.

Many parents have asked us, “How do I teach my child Torah?” It’s a heartfelt question that reflects a wonderful desire to pass on Jewish values and traditions—especially when you want to give your child more than what you may have had growing up, or aren’t sure where to start.

That’s exactly what Junior TorahMates is here to help with. Whether your child is preparing for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, navigating a new Jewish school environment, or just beginning their journey into Torah and tradition, we match them with a dedicated mentor to guide them every step of the way.

Our mentors are not just teachers; they are friends and guides who help instill confidence and a sense of belonging in each student. Through these connections, your child will not only learn but also thrive in their Jewish identity and studies.
