Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies from Kosher.com

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pound brown sugar
  • 4 sticks (1 pound) margarine
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1-12 ounce package chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Cream eggs, sugar, margarine, and vanilla extract. Add next three ingredients, mixing well.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips, and nuts if desired.
  4. Roll into one-inch balls, and bake on an ungreased cookie sheets, one and 1/2-inches apart, for 15 minutes. Do not over-bake.

Tip:

If you don’t have a cookie sheet, or time to shape the cookies, spread the dough out in two 9×13-inch pans, bake, cool – and cut into bars.
