All of the doughnuts, less of the fat. These will be a welcome addition to your Chanukah menu.

Main ingredients

 1 and 1/3 cups soy milk, divided

 2 and 1/4 teaspoons dry yeast

 2 tablespoons margarine

 2/3 cup sugar

 2 eggs

 5 cups flour

 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

 1 teaspoon salt

Start Cooking

Prepare the Dough

Place one third cup of the soy milk in a bowl with the yeast. Set aside for five minutes.

Add the margarine and sugar to the remaining cup of soy milk, then add it to the yeast mixture.

Mix all the ingredients together in an electric mixer. If your dough is very sticky, add flour.

Place into an oiled bowl. Let rise one hour.

Shape and Bake

Roll out the dough one half inch thick.

Make donut shapes with round cookie cutters or a 3- and- 1/2-inch donut cutter.

Let rise another 45 minutes.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
