KOSHER KOLOR WAR!

The highlight of this week’s Torah portion is the giving of the Torah. As soon as the Jewish people received the Torah, they rushed to put the laws into action. One of the first things they did was to label their food item BLUE for milchigs (dairy) and RED for fleishigs (meat). For example, if person had a milchig bottle of whiskey, he put on a BLUE LABEL. If he had a fleishig bottle of whiskey, he put on a RED LABEL.

Somebody had the brilliant idea of turning the labeling process into a color war! The teams would be red/meat vs. blue/milk. And what a color war it was! After three days of intense competition, the judges announced that the red/meat team won. And six hours later, they said that the blue/milk team won!
