The Delivery Table: Leil Seder

Poem by Bracha Goetz

Are we ready and able.
For the delivery table?
There will be labor pains,
Wine forms blood in new veins.
We’ll taste tears, we’ll hear groans.
As matzo forms our new bones.
Labor may go ‘til dawn.
On this night, we are born.
Freed from a narrow space,
The greatest change can take place,
Both individually,
And collectively,
Hashem takes us out,
Trust replaces doubt.
Emuna deep and clear,
Recreated each year.
Family all around,
Gratitude without bounds,
The birth of our holy nation!
Sing hallel, in celebration!
